You should have a standard Switchcraft 11 mono TS jack like this.

You'll notice on a jack like this one tab is more circular at the end - it's the positive.
If that's not the case, you'll notice the negative is the one that comes in contact with the sleeve. In any case, you can follow the big tab that comes in contact with the tip to the positive solder tab.
If you can solder it neatly without any stray strands of wire and keep the polarity straight you're golden.
